Separation

Meet the Team Our lawyers appreciate that following separation, you may not wish to formalise that arrangement immediately by way of divorce or dissolution proceedings, and instead might prefer to deal with financial matters and any issues in relation to the children first of all.

We can therefore prepare a Deed of Separation, dealing with any financial agreement, with a view to divorce or dissolution proceedings being issued once you have been separated for 2 years or more.

We can also enter into negotiations with the other party and their representative to reach a fair settlement for you. You do not need to come to us with a final agreement in order for us to deal with a Deed of Separation on your behalf.

We can also consider whether applying for formal Judicial Separation from your spouse would be appropriate in your case.

We offer a first free appointment lasting 20 minutes for all new clients seeking initial advice and if you therefore wish to discuss any of the above matters with us further, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01327 301771.
